Memorial Day Weekend Activities!

On Sunday, May 27, we will be holding our annual Coaches vs. Board of Directors Softball Game at 2 PM at AW Stanley Park. To end the weekend, we will hold our Seniors Division All - Star game on Monday, May 28 at 5 PM at Stanley Quarter Park!

Be sure to come down Memorial Day Weekend and support our players and coaches!

Memorial Day Parade on May 30

On Wednesday, May 30, New Britain Little League will once again be marching in New Britain's Memorial Day Parade! This year, however, we are taking it a step further and will be building a float for our players to sit on throughout the parade while throwing candy out to the crowd.

More information will be posted here on the website as it becomes available from the city of New Britain.

We hope your child can join us on this day for what is going to be a fun and exciting time!

Fall Ball Registration Starting Soon!

Now that the 2012 season is almost over, we are gearing up for our fall season!

Our fall season begins at the end of August and runs until the end of October. It is a little more relaxed than the spring season, with games normally on the weekends and one practice per week.

The price is the same as our spring registration, which is $55 for those league ages 5 - 6 and $75 for those league ages 7 - 15.

NBLL Gears up for Memorial Day Weekend!

On Memorial Day Weekend, May 25 - 29, we will be holding various activities! It starts on Friday, May 25 with our Majors Division All - Star game at 7 PM at AW Stanley Park. On Saturday, we will have our Home - Run Derby at AW Stanley Park beginning at 1:30 PM, followed by our MInors Division All - Star Game at 7 PM. On Sunday, May 27, we will be holding our annual Coaches vs. Board of Directors Softball Game at 2 PM at AW Stanley Park. To end the weekend, we will hold our Seniors Division All - Star game on Monday, May 28 at 5 PM at Stanley Quarter Park!

Parks and Recreation to Hold Mangan League Tryouts!

Mayor Timothy E. O’Brien, Parks and Recreation Commission Chairman Angelo D’Alfonso announced today that the New Britain Parks and Recreation Department has scheduled baseball draft tryouts for the Larry Mangan League to be held Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Stanley Quarter Park, diamond 1. Mangan League consists of six teams with practices through the month of May and games being played Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights from Tuesday, June 12th to the middle of August. Practices and games are primarily played at either Stanley Quarter Park or Walnut Hill Park.

All new participants between the ages of 13-16 should report to Stanley Quarter Park by 5:00 PM on Thursday, May 31st. All players must register with the Parks and Recreation Department, City Hall, Room 302 by Friday, June 8, 2012. Registrations will be taken before the tryout date at Stanley Quarter Park starting at 5:00PM. The fee is $40. Returning players do not need to tryout but registration and payment is required by the beginning of the season.

The New Britain Parks and Recreation Department accepts registrations for the Mangan League on a first-come, first-served basis. Registrations for the Mangan League are accepted in the Parks and Recreation office Monday – Friday 8:15 a.m.- 3:45 p.m , by mail at City Hall, 27 West Main Street Room 302, at Stanley Quarter Park on the day of the tryout, or by on-line registration via our Webtrac system. People interested in using on-line registration for the first time can either visit www.newbritainct.gov/recnpark or call Program Coordinator Matthew Scofield for more information at 860-826-3360.
